VICOM FIT checks
Compliance checks
Items are checked for compliance to the Land Transport Authority requirements and also against illegal modifications. Where appropriate photographs of non-compliant items are taken for record.
Condition checks
Checks on physical conditions are generally limited to visible items. However, wherever practicable, panels may be removed for closer examination. Specialised test equipment are used to assist in visual examination.
Function checks
Vehicle devices are operated to check their proper function. Specialised and regularly calibrated test equipment are used to measure performance, wherever appropriate.
Road test
The vehicle is first tested on our inspection test lane and then driven on the road for 8-10 km. Vehicle steering, braking, power transmission and driveability are evaluated during the road test.
